Richartz

In 1900, the brothers Johann and Heinrich Richartz began manufacturing pocket knives and tools using raw materials from the Siegerland region as a base. Beeches and oaks from the large forests of Solingen provided the charcoal for forging. The many streams supplied the power to drive the grinding stones. Added to this was the skill of the hardworking people from the Bergisches Land region. Over the years, a company was established with an excellent reputation for functional and good-quality cutlery, not only in Germany but also beyond.
